Rogue Valley
Established in 1991, the Rogue Valley AVA is defined by the soils created by the Rogue River and Rogue tributaries: Illinois, Applegate and Bear Creek rivers. This is the southernmost and warmest AVA in Southern Oregon, with an average July maximum temperature of 89 F (32 C).
The Rogue Valley includes one sub-AVA, the Applegate Valley AVA. Its 5360 acres are home to Pinot Noir, Cabernet Sauvignon, Pinot Gris, Chardonnay, Syrah, Tempranillo, and Merlot.
