Peter William Vineyard 2024 Daisy Creek Vineyard Viognier

Best of Show White

Peter William Adesman has been involved in wine since the mid 1970’s, first as a consumer, then a collector, an educator, and finally with his own wines from Peter William Vineyard. Peter is still a practicing physician, but his avocation is and always will be working with wine

Peter & his wife, Dr. Robin Miller, planted the vineyard below their home in 2013. Robin loves fine wines, but her real passion is dancing. The small room overlooking the vineyard is not only used for private tastings, but doubles as Robin’s dance studio. Robin supports Peter William Vineyard with fun ads and marketing ideas.

Peter William Vineyard, Medford, Oregon
2024 Daisy Creek Vineyard Viognier

This is such a good take on Viognier. It has a fresh set of aromas that mix pears and apple skins with just a touch of fresh-cut grass. This lively introduction is followed by flavors of lemon zest, apple, nutmeg and vanilla wafers. There's plenty of acidity here to help create a tart and crisp mouthfeel. — Michael Alberty, 91 points - Wine Enthusiast

About Daisy Creek Vineyard:
In 1994, a retired couple, Russ and Margaret Lyon, purchased 26+ acres of hay meadow on the northeast edge of Jacksonville, Oregon and began Daisy Creek Farm. The acreage is divided by a meandering creek(Daisy Creek) which was used in the 1800’s by gold miners to slurry mine and helped produce a property rich in nutrients from its rocky, gravely, sandy loam soils. The Lyons built a house and barn and for two years grew and baled hay until a local winemaker, who knew the history of the property, convinced them to start growing grapes which then led them on a 24+ year blood, sweat and tears venture that has slowly grown into Daisy Creek Vineyard. Today, the boutique vineyard features 7 acres of grape vines producing 8 different varietals, primarily of the Rhone variety.
