How does Cellar 503 work?

Each month, we hand-select four bottles of wine to share with our members. You’ll get your shipment of wine, either two or four bottles, along with our tasting notes and winemaker stories. Sign up as a member, or send a gift subscription to someone else!

Who chooses the wine in each shipment?

Our tasting panel, comprised of a rotating group of friends and industry professionals, taste and rate flights of Oregon wines sourced by a consultant that specializes in Oregon Wine. Our leadership team then hand selects each bottle for every shipment, creating a theme around each set. We meet every winemaker, visit every winery to select affordable, unique, high-quality wines that represent the full range of great Oregon wine.

What are the benefits of being a Cellar 503 member?

As a Cellar 503 wine club member, you'll get more than great wine at home:

When will I get my wine?

We bill your credit card on the 1st of the month and shipments are sent to Cellar 503 members between the 15th and 20th of each month. Your first shipment will go out at the beginning of the month following your initial sign-up. See all of our shipping policies here.

When do you bill my credit card?

You'll be billed automatically right before we ship your wines to you. If you choose to receive your wines quarterly, you will only be billed during the months you are scheduled to receive wine. For gifts, you'll be billed upfront for the total number of gift months you wish to give.

Do you ship to my state?

Due to extremely complicated laws regarding shipping alcohol, we can't ship to every state. But pretty close! And don't forget - you can always send a gift to someone, even if we don't ship to your state. Check out our shipping policies here.

What happens if I'm not there to sign for my wine?

You will receive a notification from FedEx with tracking information as soon as your shipment has been picked up. If you won't be available to receive your package, you can request that FedEx leave your package at a nearby FedEx location. If your wine is returned to us because it cannot be delivered we will contact you to confirm the correct address and any delivery instructions. You are responsible for paying for the additional shipping to send your wine back to you. See all of our shipping policies here.

Are there membership fees? What’s the commitment?

There are no membership fees. Just pay as you go and you can cancel at any time. We do have special offers twice a year that may require a minimum number of months in the club. Please review the fine print on our special offer pages.

How long will it take to receive my wine? Will I receive a tracking notification?

Depending on your location, your shipment may take 5-10 days to arrive. All shipments are sent via FedEx Ground and you will receive a tracking notification via email once your wine has been shipped.

I signed up for a quarterly club shipment. When will I get my wine?

Our quarterly shipments go out in January, April, July and October.

Do you offer pick-up options?

Yes! We offer you the option of picking up your shipment in Portland, Oregon. On select dates each month we showcase our featured club selections for the month, as well as a couple bonus pours that we love and you will be able to pick up your monthly selections. Cellar 503 members (with up to three guests) are welcome to join us any weekend for their monthly complimentary wine tasting. Additional tastings are $15 per person. Non-member tasting flights are $25 per person, subject to availability.

If you can't make it on the third weekend, you can pick up your wine any time we are open (after they are released). You can also stop by our offices at 4407 SW Corbett Ave, Portland, OR to pick up your wine. We will hold up to three months of wine for you. After three months, we will contact you to have your wine shipped to you. Click on the link at the top of this page for all tasting and pick up options.

Why does someone over the age of 21 have to sign for the delivery?

It is required by law that someone over the age of 21 sign to receive the wine, since wine is a controlled alcoholic beverage. We strongly encourage you to have your shipment sent to an address where it can be signed for at time of delivery – often that’s a business address.

Can I re-order wines I liked?

If you love a wine that was included with your shipment, send us an email at [email protected] and we'll let you know if we have some available. If not, we would be happy to put you in touch directly with the winery to place an order for additional bottles.

Can I change my wine club membership from a mixed selection to all reds or all whites?

Yes! You may change your wine club membership type (mixed, all reds, or all whites) by contacting us for assistance at [email protected] or 503-897-8013.

How do I update my shipping address, billing address, or credit card information?

You may update this information online by logging in to your account using the password you initially created. You may also contact us for assistance at [email protected] or 503-897-8013.

How do I cancel my membership?

You may cancel your Cellar 503 membership at any time. Cancellations made in the first 20 days of the month will be effective for the following month. To cancel, just send an email to [email protected]

Do you offer gift memberships?

Absolutely! Whether you’re celebrating a birthday, need a holiday gift, want to tell your mom or dad how much you appreciate them, or need to send a thank you gift to a friend or client, we’ve got you covered. Wine never goes out of style, it always fits, and it’s always the right color (as long as it’s red, white or rose!)

Choose a limited-duration gift or give the gift of an ongoing membership for any of our three wine clubs. A personalized note will be included with the first shipment and we can also send you a customized gift card to send to your recipient. We also offer corporate gift services.

When will my gift recipient receive their first shipment?

Your gift recipient will receive their first shipment of wine at the time of the next automated club shipment following their enrollment. If you’d like to have a gift card sent to you, just let us know at [email protected] or on the gift order form.
