Oregon Classics

February 2021

It’s Oregon’s birthday this month—162 years and going strong! So in honor of the celebration, we are featuring Oregon classic wines.  Most people know Pinot Noir and Pinot Gris are classic Oregon wines. Pinot Noir, Pinot Gris and Chardonnay we all know. But did you know that Syrah is the next most widely planted grape in Oregon and one of it’s original plantings?

We are excited to feature a classic Willamette Valley Pinot Noir from Crowley Wines—one of our club members favorite wineries! For our second red, we’re featuring a Syrah from urban winemaker Clay Pigeon Winery.

Both of our whites are from new winey partners! The first is a classic Pinot Gris from Coeur de Terre Vineyard in McMinnville. Our second white is a Chardonnay from deLancellotti Family Vineyards in the Dundee Hills.

This is a great way to dive into the wines that Oregon is best known for!
