Watermill Winery 2023 Waterstone Vineyard Viognier

Driven by Minerality

Our wine is made of more. We could point to our ancestors, who migrated west on the Oregon Trail, or to millions of years of geological activity that shaped the Walla Walla Valley floor. It took just the right set of circumstances and three generations of toiling this distinct swath of the Walla Walla Valley to realize excellence underfoot. Our roots run deep and we've carved our own path.

Watermill Winery, established in 2005, is owned by the Brown family, in partnership with the Foreman and Groff families, and operates in the Walla Walla Valley of Oregon. The Brown family has a long history of farming in the area, and they are now one of the largest apple producers in Oregon. Watermill Winery is known for its wines, particularly those from the Rocks District of Milton-Freewater, a region known for its unique cobbley loam soil. Watermill is committed to sustainable farming practices in all of its vineyards.

2023 Waterstone Vineyard Viognier

Nestled in the heart of the Rocks District of Milton-Freewater, Waterstone Vineyards represents the pioneering spirit and shared vision of the Brown and Foreman families. Born from a historic partnership, this boutique vineyard embarked on its viticultural journey with its inaugural harvest in 2019, quickly establishing itself as a testament to quality and innovation in a region famed for its distinctive terroir.

Acclaimed wine critic Jeb Dunnuck has lavished praise on the region, noting, “this incredible terroir produces an exotic, perfumed, and textured style of wine that’s one of the most unique - and identifiable – in the world.” Waterstone Vineyards not only embodies this exceptional character but also invites you to experience the unparalleled elegance and complexity of its wines.
