Huett Cellars 2019 Huett Cellars Chardonnay
Golden Leaf Vineyard
Oregon winemaker Ryan Huett, and wife Tammy, live in Corvallis, Oregon in the heart of the Willamette Valley. Ryan started his winemaking career at one of the oldest wineries in Oregon as an intern before quickly becoming head winemaker. After managing a 20,000 case a year facility, and making wine for several custom crush clients, he began producing his own brand Huett Cellars in 2014. He credits his wife Tammy as his "secret weapon" as she is what is known as a "super taster" in the industry. Together, they are able to produce world class Pinot Noirs, and other varietals sourced from vineyards throughout Oregon.

Cellar 503 Tasting Notes
Huett Cellars, Corvallis, Oregon
2019 Huett Cellars Chardonnay
As Chardonnay ages, its fresh fruitiness fades, developing complex tertiary notes of nuts, honey, spice, and earth, while the color deepens from gold to amber or brown; high-quality wines with good acidity and structure age gracefully, gaining texture.
2019 Vintage
Golden Leaf Vineyard
Key Changes During Aging:
Color:
Transforms from pale yellow to deeper gold, then amber, and eventually brownish hues as it oxidizes.
Aromas & Flavors:
Primary (Fruit): Citrus, apple, and tropical notes soften.
Secondary/Tertiary (Aging): Emerge as honey, toasted nuts (almond, hazelnut), vanilla, spice (clove), dried fruit, hay, mushroom, and sometimes buttery or creamy notes.
Acidity & Texture: Tartness mellows, and the wine's texture can become richer, almost silky, while acidity acts as a preservative, allowing the wine to develop.
