Columbia Gorge

In August, we are celebrating the Columbia Gorge AVA, a small wine-growing region with an extraordinary range of terroir. As they say, it's a "world of wine in just 40 miles"!

In Oregon, the Columbia Gorge AVA is just Hood River and Wasco counties. (And in Washington, just Klickitat and Skamania counties.)

The Columbia Gorge is just 4400 total acres (300+ planted with grapes) and is often overlooked due to the size of its much-larger neighbor, the Columbia Valley AVA (which is over 11 million total acres.)
